Sandwich panels—comprising two metal skins bonded to an insulating core—are the building blocks of modern industrial cold rooms, warehouses, and cleanrooms. Sandwich Panel Protective Film is a critical industrial consumable designed to protect these large-format panels during the entire lifecycle: from the high-speed continuous lamination line to the rough conditions of a construction site. Because sandwich panels are often 10 meters or longer, any surface damage during transport or installation can lead to an entire panel being rejected, causing massive logistical delays and financial loss.
Wuxi Qida’s sandwich panel films are engineered for extreme durability. We use a co-extruded LDPE/LLDPE blend that offers high puncture resistance to withstand the friction of metal-to-metal contact during stacking. A common challenge in this industry is the variety of paint finishes—from high-gloss polyester to textured "wrinkle" or "sand-grain" PVDF coatings. Our R&D team has developed a range of adhesive systems, including specialized high-tack versions for textured panels and UV-stabilized versions for panels that will be stored in outdoor yards. Our films also function as a "deep-drawing" aid during the roll-forming of the panel’s interlocking joints, ensuring the paint doesn't crack or scuff under the pressure of the forming rollers. By providing a 6-to-12 month UV rating, Qida ensures that even if the building project is delayed, the film will still peel off cleanly without leaving a single trace of residue.
