  • Q: How do I choose between white, black, or grey foam tape?
  • A: Usually, this is based on the aesthetic of your product. White is common for general mounting and mirrors; black is the industry standard for automotive and exterior trims to blend with shadows; grey is often used in electronics. Functionally, black foam often has higher UV resistance.
  • Q: Can I use this tape on low-energy surfaces like PP or PE?
  • A: Standard acrylic adhesives can struggle with low-energy plastics. However, we offer a specialized "Modified Acrylic" or "Hot Melt" version specifically designed to bond to PP/PE surfaces. Always specify your substrate when ordering.
  • Q: Is there a specific way to apply the tape for maximum strength?
  • A: Yes. The surface must be 100% clean and dry. We recommend a 50/50 mix of IPA and water. Apply the tape with firm pressure (at least 2kg per square inch) to ensure the adhesive "flows" into the microscopic pores of the surface.
  • Q: What is the maximum weight the tape can hold?
  • A: This depends on the tape thickness and the surface area used. Generally, for static loads, we recommend using 60 square centimeters of tape per 1kg of weight. For permanent mirror mounting, much more is required for safety.
  • Q: Can the tape be removed?
  • A: These are permanent bonding tapes. To remove them, you typically need to use a wire to "saw" through the foam core, then use a chemical solvent or heat gun to remove the remaining adhesive residue.
