Standard protective films are vulnerable to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Without proper stabilization, the PE carrier can become brittle and the adhesive can "bake" onto the surface, making it nearly impossible to remove without damaging the underlying product. UV Resistant Protective Film from Wuxi Qida is specifically formulated to combat these issues. We incorporate specialized UV absorbers and HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) into both the film and the adhesive layer, ensuring the film remains flexible and the adhesive remains removable even after months of direct exposure to intense sunlight.
This film is essential for any product that will spend time outdoors during the construction, transportation, or storage phases. It is most commonly used for architectural aluminum window frames, facade panels, and automotive glass. At Qida, we offer different levels of UV protection, rated by "months of exposure" (e.g., 3-month, 6-month, or 12-month ratings). Our black-and-white (B&W) co-extruded film is our highest performing UV solution; the white outer layer reflects solar heat while the black inner layer provides 100% opacity to block all UV rays from reaching the adhesive-substrate interface.
