Decorative Laminates Protective Foil is a high-tenacity PE film designed to provide a "second skin" during the most aggressive fabrication steps. Because laminates vary wildly in surface energy—from oily wood textures to chemically resistant matte finishes—this foil must be highly specialized to ensure a consistent bond.
Wuxi Qida’s foils for laminates are engineered with a multi-layer co-extrusion process that balances flexibility with high puncture resistance. During the CNC routing or post-forming of laminate sheets, the film must not "lift" at the edges, which could allow sawdust or cooling fluids to seep under the film and scratch the surface. Our foil features a controlled-release adhesive system that prevents the "suction" effect, making it easy to remove even from large 4x8 sheets without excessive physical effort.
