Weatherproof Protective Film is a high-tenacity, multi-layered PE barrier designed to provide a 100% moisture-proof and UV-resistant seal. Standard films often "tunnel" or peel when they get wet, allowing corrosive moisture to reach the metal or plastic substrate. Qida’s weatherproof film utilizes a specialized "Water-Lock" adhesive that maintains its bond even under prolonged immersion or high-humidity conditions, ensuring that your architectural panels or window frames remain pristine from winter to summer.
At Wuxi Qida, we engineer our weatherproof films using co-extrusion technology with high concentrations of HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers). This prevents the PE polymer from becoming brittle and "shredding" after sun exposure—a common failure in inferior films. Our weatherproof range is typically thicker (60 to 120 microns) to resist the physical impact of hail and wind-blown grit. A major technical advantage is the "Thermal Stability" of our adhesive; it is designed not to soften in the desert heat or become brittle in Arctic cold, ensuring a "clean-peel" removal regardless of the season.
