Heavy-Duty Carpet Protection Film for Construction & Renovation

Protecting installed carpeting during the final stages of construction is one of the biggest challenges for contractors. Paint spills, muddy boots, and heavy equipment can ruin a high-traffic commercial carpet in hours. Carpet Protection for Construction is a high-performance, reverse-wound PE film coated with a specialized extra-high-tack adhesive. Unlike standard films, carpet film must have enough "grab" to stick to the textured, fibrous surface of synthetic and natural carpets without shifting, yet it must peel away cleanly without pulling out fibers or leaving a sticky residue.

Wuxi Qida’s carpet protection film is engineered for durability. We use a blended LDPE/LLDPE carrier to provide extreme puncture and tear resistance, allowing the film to withstand the weight of ladders, scaffolding, and constant foot traffic. The adhesive is a unique "high-tack" water-based acrylic that is specifically formulated not to transfer to the carpet’s secondary backing. Because it is "reverse-wound" (adhesive on the outside of the roll), it can be easily kicked out and applied by one person without the need for specialized applicators. This makes it a high-efficiency tool for renovation teams, painters, and HVAC technicians who need to create "walkways" through finished rooms.   • Q: Can I use this film on hardwood floors?
  • A: NO. Carpet film has an extremely high tack that can bond too strongly to wood finishes and damage them. For hard floors, use our dedicated "Hard Floor" or "Fleece" protection products.
  • Q: How long can I leave the film on the carpet?
  • A: We recommend removal within 30 to 45 days. If left on for months, especially in high-heat environments, the adhesive may start to cure and become difficult to remove.
  • Q: Will this work on wool carpets?
  • A: Caution is required for high-end wool or natural fiber carpets. We recommend testing a small inconspicuous area first. For very plush or delicate wool, our "Surface Protection Fleece" is a safer alternative.
  • Q: Is it safe for stairs?
  • A: Yes, because it is so tacky, it won't slide on the stairs like loose plastic sheets. However, always ensure it is pressed firmly into the corners of each step.
  • Q: What happens if it gets wet?
  • A: The top is waterproof. If water gets under the film (from the edges), you should remove it and let the carpet dry to prevent mold growth.
